design/build problem solving
Problem NINEA redwood landing and steps lead awkwardly to a small old concrete patio, surrounded by brick planters. The lawn and planting areas needed updating.
Landing outside of sliding door was enlarged, with room for seating, and the wide stairs are an invitation to the larger patio, arbor and cooking area. All new and old concrete was overlaid to match. Large lawn was removed and replaced with gravel pathways, drought tolerant plants, and a small no-mow, low water lawn. A second seating area, with a fire ring was built out under the oak tree.
Existing brick planters were supported, covered with a fine stucco, and painted.
